For 0-15 year old children, the Abbaye du Palais is a real paradise. There are many things for them to do, whether it’s on the Abbey’s grounds or in the surrounding area.
Like the large, heated pool (20m!) with separate shallow section for the youngest ones, the playground with 2 trampolines, the go-karts for children and adults, the 'jeu-de-boule' court, the small petting zoo and the playhall with table tennis and table football.
In summer we organise weekly creative workshops for children, pony rides and a colourful evening with performances.
In the environment we have a wolf parc, a giant labyrinth, a 'velorail', bisonsafari,
a tree climbing parc and the beautiful lake Vassivière with its sandy beaches.

The Abbaye du Palais is the ideal place for small groups. For example a family reunion for your 40th wedding anniversary with your children and grand-children. But that isn’t all.
Over these past few years we’ve had the pleasure of hosting painting classes, yoga courses, any kind of training or charity, and of course, weddings.
If you want, you can rent out the whole of the Abbaye du Palais exclusively for you and your guests (whether it’s for a small group, a photo shoot, or shooting a film). It’s possible to rent the Abbey practically all year round (we’re open from mid April to November), except between mid-June and mid-September.
